This policy explains how ALG Consult Limited uses personal information in connection with algconsult.co.uk, enquiries about our services, and Vibe Scout, our keyword-research and software-opportunity assessment tool.
Who is responsible for your information?

Information we collect and why
When you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, business contact details, company and message. We use it to respond, discuss your requirements and provide our services. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in general enquiries.
Our website is hosted using HubSpot. Website requests can include technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and access times. This information supports website delivery, security and troubleshooting. Cookies and similar technologies may also be used; you can manage cookies through your browser and any consent controls displayed on the website.
We process enquiries and ordinary business correspondence for our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective and existing customers. Where necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, we rely on that contract. We rely on legal obligations where records must be kept or disclosed by law, and on consent where required, including for non-essential tracking or marketing that requires consent.
Vibe Scout and Google API data
Vibe Scout helps ALG Consult research search demand, advertising competition and potential software opportunities. Its Google Ads API connection is being configured. When an authorised Google account is connected, it will request keyword ideas and historical, aggregated keyword metrics, such as search volumes, monthly trends, competition and cost-per-click estimates. These figures describe keyword markets, not the identities of people who searched.
The connection may also process the Google Ads account identifiers and authorisation credentials needed to make those requests. Google handles sign-in; Vibe Scout does not ask for or store your Google password. Google permissions may be broader than the keyword-research functions used by Vibe Scout. The intended integration uses those permissions for keyword research, not to launch advertisements or change campaign budgets.
Research results are stored in the Vibe Scout workbook in Google Sheets and used to assess opportunities. Access credentials must be kept separately from that workbook and must not be included in research outputs. Access to account information and credentials is limited to people who need it to operate or maintain the integration.
Google user data is used only to provide and maintain the authorised functionality. It is not sold, used for personalised advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Any transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.
Sharing and international processing
We use HubSpot for website and business-contact management and Google services for the authorised integration and research workbook. Relevant information is processed by those providers to deliver their services. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or the protection of legal rights. Information is not made public merely because you contact us or connect an account.
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, appropriate safeguards must apply, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Retention, security and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of ongoing enquiries, contractual requirements, legal record-keeping and the establishment or defence of legal claims. Research metrics may be retained for comparison over time where they do not identify individuals. Credentials are needed only while an authorised connection is maintained and should be revoked or removed when it is no longer required.
You can revoke Google access through your Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorised retrieval; it does not automatically delete information already stored. To request deletion of information held by ALG Consult or Vibe Scout, email info@algconsult.co.uk. We will explain any information that must be retained for legal reasons. We use proportionate access controls and security measures; no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Use an unsubscribe link where provided, or contact info@algconsult.co.uk.
If you have a concern, please contact us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Vibe Scout's opportunity scoring is used for business research, not decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects.
